Roadmap — SOAP-2-REST by Specaria
A short, honest roadmap. We commit to GA scope and signal direction beyond it without over-promising dates.
v1 — General Availability (now)
The GA release delivers the complete five-step flow as a production platform:
- Discover — traffic-driven discovery across a suite of gateway and load-balancer connectors, plus a generic-HTTP receiver.
- Map — deterministic, full-field SOAP↔REST mapping with versioned, immutable snapshots and field-level overrides.
- Publish — standards-compliant OpenAPI v3 generation (Publish direction) and WSDL serve-back (Consume direction).
- Capture — learned examples from real production traffic.
- Observe — in-app dashboards, SLO reports, searchable logs, live traffic, contract-drift detection, and a full audit trail.
Both directions (REST facade and SOAP facade), SOAP 1.1 and 1.2, full XSD type coverage, multi-backend routing with failover and health checks, RBAC with Google IAP / Azure AD / SAML / OIDC, encrypted backend credentials, and UTF-8 / Hebrew / RTL end to end.
Deployment at GA: GCP-native, Kubernetes / OpenShift Helm chart, GCP Marketplace, and a standalone Docker Compose stack. Runs entirely in your VPC.
v1.1 — post-GA
- VM appliance images — OVA / VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
- First-class cloud-native ports — AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud (managed container compute, managed PostgreSQL, native IaC). The cloud-adapter architecture is already in place; these ports build on it.
v2 — direction (12–18 months)
- Vendor-SaaS + customer-VPC agent — managed control plane with a lightweight in-VPC data-plane agent, so your data still never leaves your network.
- Additional identity providers — Okta, Keycloak, and custom SAML profiles.
- Dedicated connectors for modern API management platforms (today covered via the generic-HTTP receiver).
- Advanced governance and developer-portal integrations.
Roadmap items beyond GA are directional and may shift. GA scope is what ships today. Dates for v1.1 and v2 are confirmed with your account team, not committed on this page.
